Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is a miraculous source of wizdom, showing the doors which a reader to pass. Originally these texts are written in an ancient Sanskrit language. At present there are many versions of translation of these texts from Sanskrit to English, some versions of translation from English to Russian and some versions of translation from Sanskrit to Russian. Naturally, there are translations to other language also. Have a look at the links section; that is not a complete list, for sure. Yoga Sutras are complicated to understand. This situation is aggravated by the fact, that translations are either interpreted in a literary style, but rely upon extensive commentaries; or approximated to resemble Sanskrit grammatically and morphologically despite the target language; or erratic due to incompleteness of transferred meanings and due to incompleteness of unobvious instructions, peculiar to Sanskrit and esoteric subject matters. There is a translation of Yoga Sutras from Sanskrit to English and Russian at once presented below. Translations are coordinated, meanings of words and phrases are thoroughly selected. Both translations are grammatically consistent. Sentences, relevant to each sutra, are in the following order:
1-3
Number (chapter-stanza number);
तदा द्रष्टुः
Sanskrit original stanza;
draṣṭuḥ
IAST entry (International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration);
nature
Translation into English language;
свою
Translation into Russian language.
The name itself is rendered in this way:
